Case Studies

Vanishing Point products are in use in studios and on-set all over the world, below are just a small selection of the different types of projects that have used our technology.

BBC’s His Dark Materials

Vanishing Point Vector was used in a partnership with Framestore as a solution to the on-set visualisation of the pivotal armoured bear fight sequence in season one of the BBC’s His Dark Materials, filmed in the UK.

Using Vector’s tracking and real-time compositing on location allowed the Director, Visual Effects Supervisor and Camera Operators to see digital assets overlaid and tracked against the real plate, in real time.

SoKrispyMedia + MrBeast’s Squid Game

SoKrispyMedia utilized the Vanishing Point Vector system to help bring MrBeast's Squid Game set to life in camera and in real-time. The project was on a massive scale, using a mix of live sets and Unreal Engine to recreate each game featured in the hit Netflix show.

Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande Rain On Me

Vanishing Point Vector was used by Ingenuity Studios to shoot Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s epic music video for ‘Rain On Me’, the chart topping single of 2020, with the video directed by the legendary Robert Rodriguez.

“Vector gave us a unique opportunity for everyone to visualise our environment concepts live on-set. The fact that we could dynamically change everything about the environment instantly while having the artists and dancers composited in gave us more flexibility and clarity to what the final result could look like.

The tracking was smooth and easy to calibrate even in such a large sound stage. It was fun to see the crew's jaw dropping reactions to the composited live feed. Both Gaga and Ariana were amazed by the technology, Director Robert Rodriguez was also impressed, and we were able to implement his notes efficiently before takes.”
